In-vehicle electronics, as a part of automotive electronics, refers to independent electronic devices installed in automobiles to enhance driving comfort, convenience, and entertainment. They have no direct impact on vehicle performance and mainly encompass automotive information systems, navigation systems, and audio and entertainment systems. In-vehicle electronic products are diverse, primarily including infotainment and in-vehicle information systems, driver assistance and safety systems, and comfort and convenience systems.
Car PCs, in-vehicle networks, and cruise control systems transform the car into a new IT and communication center, while car audio systems, car TVs, and car refrigerators meet users' needs for in-vehicle home appliances. Car audio systems are the most prevalent in-vehicle electronic products, and product upgrades are a major driving force for market development. Among existing car audio equipment, CD players have a penetration rate exceeding 80%, but the factory installation rates of DVD players and MP3 audio devices are still quite low.
