Product Overview
Plastic remote control housings consist of matched top covers, bottom covers, and battery doors for television, air-conditioner, vehicle, smart-home, and industrial remote-control assemblies, with the molded enclosure positioning the PCB, conductive keypad, infrared opening, batteries, and fastening features inside the handheld unit.
Core Advantages
Housing Joint Gap Within 0.1 mm
Cover datums, snap positions, and screw bosses are controlled so the assembled top and bottom keep a joint gap of 0.1 mm or less. The covers stay aligned when the remote is gripped or a key is pressed, with no visible edge mismatch or movement between them.
Button Position Tolerance of ±0.05 mm
Button openings are held to ±0.05 mm relative to the approved PCB and conductive-rubber layout. Each press then reaches the intended contact area without the button rubbing the housing wall or missing the switch position.
Battery Door Tested for 5,000 Cycles
Clip thickness, undercut, and lead-in geometry are set for repeated battery access. A 5,000-cycle opening and closing test checks that the battery door still locks into the housing after regular replacement.

Customization
The housing can be matched to the approved assembly design for PCB outline, button layout, infrared opening, battery compartment, screw bosses, snap joints, anti-slip texture, PA6 or ABS material, Pantone color, laser marking, printing, molded logo, and visible-surface texture.
Quality Control
Tooling approval includes an assembly trial with the supplied PCB, keypad, or reference parts. Dedicated gauges check the button apertures, boss locations, battery-door clips, and cover datums. Production lots are then inspected for joint gap, snap retention, battery-door operation, color consistency, and visible defects under controlled lighting.
FAQ
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: The standard MOQ is 10,000 housing sets.
Q: Can a molded sample be supplied before production?
A: Yes. The molded sample is checked for PCB fit, keypad alignment, battery access, color, texture, and assembled appearance before the production lot is released.
Q: Are the PCB and conductive keypad included?
A: The standard supply covers the molded plastic housing. PCB assemblies, silicone keypads, contacts, and final electronic assembly are supplied only when listed separately in the project specification.
Q: Which design files are required for a new housing?
A: Preferred files include a 3D housing model, PCB outline, keypad layout, battery dimensions, and assembly stack. When original CAD data is not available, a complete reference remote can also be used.
